We hope that everyone had a great time at the GHS class of 88, 20-year reunion.  The committee would love to hear your comments about the events you attended and your most memorable thoughts.  Did you miss someone.  Let them know it here.  We hope that we will have even more attendance at the next reunion.  See you in four years!

Wow, I had a great time. I know everyone I spoke with did as well. The hard work that went into the reunion made it a definite success. Thanks again to everyone on the committee. I thought I would post a few things I observed. Enjoy….

• The outfit of the night was worn by Jim Baker (aka Jason Reddick). The black attire was just magnificent. And weren’t you best dressed at one time!?
• Patrick O’Neal was much funnier last night than he was in high school. Nice Mic work.
• Howie Redding still doesn’t listen! NO JEANS! Some things never change. Love ya dogg! O ye, nice Brad Pitt mustache!
• Chris, I’m still not sure I understand anything you said at the Mic! But you handled the MC Job pretty well. Really you did. Really! It was great to see you!
• Paul gave a wonderful prayer before dinner. Nice job. Are you really a preacher!?
• The Cashatt girls have yet to talk to me in 4 years of high school and 20 years afterward. I’ll keep trying. Good to see you guys.
• We went redneck with the cooler of 72 beers in the back of Bruce’s truck. A beer patrol thanks goes out to Bruce Shearouse.
• Phue, thanks for the shot! Did I mention I won! I had a great time on the court! Can’t wait until next time.
• Pam took us back to the 80’s with the hair! Your hair was lovely girl, but I'm sorry you’re married to Phoung!
• Nick Brown looked most successful. I’m not sure if this is the case but the sport coat was splendid.
• Tammy thanks for roping us all in to go to Tommy’s. Quite an experience that was. You’re still a bad influence!
• Best guy hair: Darren Bohannon.
• Best dressed guy: me of course!
• Best dressed lady: Phue’s girlfriend. Damn she’s hot!
• Best dance floor movement: Tammy was working it pretty well.
• Most conservative lady look: Tony W. Broussard
• Most conservative guy look: Tony Sikes
• Most awkward moment: Chris’s 1.5 second moment of silence. But we knew what you meant Hotdawg. The thought was much appreciated by all!
• Sonia Saturday still want talk to me after all the arguments we had in school and on the bus. I’m sorry okay!!!!
• Most missed people: I will not interject my opinion here. We missed everyone!

This is all I have for now. My only suggestions are for all of us to reach out to missing classmates so that we can make sure we see them at the next reunion. Combing classes also seems to be a very popular idea. I would like for the committee to research the possibility of combining classes.

Thanks again,

Mike Rabon

First of all...AWESOME JOB! committee. Thank you for all your time in organizing the most awesome night.

Yes Mike..you are right! Not much changed. Jason still the "ladies man" being he was the only male dancing in the middle of 12 women, Tammy Tuten still trying to influence people in the party direction, and of course how could we forget Howie Redding worried about fighting at a redneck bar? I don't really remember Patrick being such a talker even though Selena Williams kept telling me he drove her crazy in school and would never shut up!

What an awesome night! I just hope that those who couldn't make it will be able to make it to the next one.

I can't tell the committee enough how much I appreciate their hard work and what a great time I had.

Mike, You are still crazy...love the update. That was hilarious.

I too, was so pleased to see all of you, and your families. The reunion was well planned, Shalan, Daisy, Chris, JD, Cheryl, Kimberly I applaud you all on a job well done. I had so much fun. I can't wait until the next one.

I just want to know one thing...how is it that Patrick O'neal has a head full of hair, still and I am holding on to mine for dear life, LOL!

How much fun was Saturday??

The committee did a superb job with everything. Huge kudos to everyone involved. Both venues were fantastic... the food was great... the drinks were plentiful... and the company was the best of all. I am not sure exactly why we only do that every 10 years. Really, no BS, formal, informal or whatever, let's do it again soon... just not at Tommy's.

With that, we all need to commit to rooting-out some of the people that were not there. I mean, really... if Janet can come from Germany and Jennifer Iler can come from Oregon, what's the deal with some of these other folks? 'Nuff said.

Mike - nice job on the recap. You were spot-on. You have a future in the "Cliffs Notes" business.

I do have a humble request. Since I am stupid, I didn't take my camera Saturday. I would LOVE to get pictures from anyone that will send them. I have asked Shalan to put together a photo depository on the website but since I am also impatient and OCD, I would appreciate it if any of you could e-mail them to me. My personal and work e-mail addresses are below.

Again, great job to the committee! To everyone else... it was REALLY REALLY GREAT seeing you all. BTW... for those of you that found yourselves as targets in my little impromptu monologue... thanks for being a good sport.

Please keep in touch!

All I can say is thank you so much to all the people who made the reunion possible. I had an absolute blast. Although it has been 20 years, I felt like none of us had changed at all. We picked up right where we all left off--lots of laughs and good times. It was so good seeing everyone, wish we had more time to visit.
I agree with Patrick's comment about Tommy's--why did we go their?
I hope next time we don't wait 10 years.
I would love to get together much sooner. Hope to see even more people next time.
Please keep in touch!!!

WOW! The reunion was AWESOME! I really enjoyed everything from Friday night at Cheddars, the picnic, and best of all the dinner and dance. Even my husband kinda enjoyed it and he is like a "stick." Anyway my "hat" is off to the committee members. You guys did a great job in planning everything to include getting Daisy Woods to do the name tags. Love them!
Mike, I just left a comedy show and after reading you comments I can not stop laughing. I did not realize you had a funny side. We know who to go to the next time for an update after the reunion.
It was a blast to see everyone and what was amazing is that most of and I stress most of everyone looks the same!

Again, I enjoyed it and is looking foward to the next one. We must make it sooner than 10 years!

I'm like Selena, Patrick, how did you keep such a full head of hair? :-)

Awesome time! The reunion was fabulous. I missed the park event but made it to the evening event. Had so much fun. Totally enjoyed catching up with everyone. The committee did an outstanding job in locating everyone. I think the next reunion will be even more fun. Some people have changed a lot and some not at all. I have uploaded the photos I took and can't to see everyones.

I'm on facebook please add me so we can all stay in touch.

Next more people need to be on the dance floor, maybe we should move the bar to the dance area.

On behalf of the entire GHS88 Reunion Planning Committee....Thanks for all the rave reviews. We are so happy to hear that you all had such a wonderful time. Our hats are off to all of you who came out for all of the events and made every moment a great success. Much love to all and it's our hope that the word is spread to stay tuned to the website for updated information about our next reunion.

Until the next time,

I just wanted to tell everyone that I had the time of my life. I enjoyed seeing each and everyone of you. You guys looked so great. There are some of you that I never had much contact with in school, but I am happy that we were able to act like adults, even though we still feel like high school kids. I'm thankful to God that we are still here and healthy. After the reunion weekend, my husbands grandfather took his life because he couldn't live without his wife of 67 years (She passed Jan 29, 2009) and my perspective on life has changed greatly. Everyone please love each other and live every minute like it was your last. You never know when it will end. I would like to say thanks to Shalan and the entire Committee for their hard work and their committment to making sure that we had the best reunion we could have. I will always cherish the memories.

Take Care all, Hope to see ya'll soon. Keep in Touch on FB or Myspace.

Thanks to all who planned such a FABULOUS event! I really enjoyed the day and was so excited to see everyone! I really missed those who were not there and hopefully they will find this website or someone and get back in touch with our class.

Thank you all so much for your kind comments on the nametags. I was not able to be on the planning committee so it was my way of helping out and being a part and thanking everyone who came. I was truly stunned at how much people liked them! (But let's not expect miracles for the next time!:)

It was great talking to everyone who claimed they remembered me (but from MY recall of high school, I'm not so sure). But, seriously, I LOVED being there and seeing everyone...I think our class was pretty close. We all got along pretty well and best of all, we were small enough that we all knew each other well enough to at least say hi. I've known lots of people who had 500 or 1000 (gasp!!) in their graduating classes and wouldn't know a fellow grad if they worked together! I'm thankful to have gone to a small high school with great people who still aren't too PC to have a blessing on the food! I'm thankful you all still value family and friends. I was SO happy to see you were all still just good ole' Southerners. We aren't like anyone else in the world...I think we're kinda' special! I think that's what I enjoyed the most at the reunion, was reconnecting with that special Southern spirit that we all have in common that nobody else has where I live now...or anywhere else I've lived. It's a piece of home for me, part of what makes me who I am. THANK ALL OF YOU for bringing home back to me..I miss my Southern roots sometimes!
